Programs
Little Red Schoolhouse services children from 6 weeks of age through 11 years old. Read below to find a bit about each program.
Infants and Toddlers
LRS has a program designed to meet the needs of children ages 6 weeks through 30 months. We provide interaction and stimulation for a growing toddler's needs by supervising activities such as crawling, walking, toilet training, talking and certain aspects of social development. We also use the "Small Wonder" program in our infant center. Ask our staff about it.
Pre-School
Our caregivers keep their classes involved in various topics of interest to young children throughout the school year. All activities revolve around the current theme and develop basic skills and concepts in al areas of the curriculum, including language arts, science, pre-math relationships, music, art and small and large motor development. The classrooms are divided into interest centers and the children are given both structured and "Free Choice" times during the day to explore interests of their choice.

Before and After School Program
The Before and after School,
Program at LRS provides a free choice of
activities for children who attend public school during most of the day.
Breakfast and snack are provided. LRS walks or drives the students to
schools in our service areas (see each location's home page for more
information). This service is only available if we have 3 or more families
enrolled with children attending the area school, and only if those children
are enrolled in our facility on a monthly basis. Parents of school-aged
children must complete our "Transportation Agreement."
LRS Summer Program
The LRS Summer Program is an action packed calendar of events planned by our managers and teachers with the children's input. It usually starts immediately after the last day of public school and includes field trips as well as fun activities planned on the school grounds. Children who plan to participate in trips and activities must have a permission slip that covers all trips, as well as a photo release signed by their parent or guardian.
